Information You Provide
Search Terms
When you type a name or place into a search tool, that query goes to the outside provider that operates the tool. Florida Recent Arrests does not store or log those search terms on its own end.
Messages
If you send an email or submit a contact message, the information is kept so a reply can be made. It is not shared outside the organization unless a legal duty requires disclosure.
Technical Data and Cookies
Each page visit may create routine technical logs such as:
- Internet Protocol (IP) address.
- Browser name and version.
- Device type and operating system.
- Pages opened and the time spent on each.
- The referring site, when available.
- Visit dates and timestamps.
Cookie Choices
Cookies and similar tools help measure how visitors use the site. Browser settings can block or clear them, though some features may work differently when cookies are disabled.
How Information Is Used
The information may be used for ordinary site operations and service quality, including these tasks:
- Operate and maintain the site.
- Send a search request to the provider that handles it.
- Measure which pages people use.
- Find and repair technical problems.
- Display advertising, which may be tailored to interests.
Outside Sites and Partners
Links may lead to Florida sheriff and jail rosters, state or federal systems, court portals, county sites, news outlets, and private search services. Once you leave this site, the destination’s privacy terms govern its handling of your information.
Advertising partners may track activity across sites to select ads. That activity takes place on their systems and is subject to their own privacy choices and notices.
Who May Receive Data
Personal data is not sold. Information may be handled by service providers or disclosed in the following settings:
- Search partners that receive a query.
- Analytics services that report site use.
- Advertising networks that deliver ads.
- Law enforcement or government bodies acting under a valid legal order.
Security Limits
Reasonable safeguards are used to protect information under the site’s control. No internet-connected system can be promised secure against every risk, so there is no guarantee that a breach or unauthorized access will never occur.
Visitors Under 18
The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under eighteen. If a minor submitted information, a parent or guardian may use the site’s contact route to request its removal.
Your Privacy Requests
Depending on the data and the service that holds it, you may be able to:
- Ask for a copy of personal data held by the site.
- Request a correction to inaccurate information.
- Ask for deletion where the site controls the data.
- Opt out of processing where an opt-out is offered.
For a search tool, advertising network, or government portal, send the request to the provider or agency that controls that system. The Contacts page explains which Florida record holder to reach for an official record.
Notice Changes
This privacy notice may change as the service or its providers change. A revised notice will appear here with a new effective date, and continued use after posting means the updated terms apply.
